Thursday, June 07, 2012

The nation's largest outdoor farm event, the Farm Progress Show, is once again in growth mode for its upcoming 2012 show. Increased demand for exhibit space has spurred the Boone, Iowa facility expansion that includes the introduction of an entire new street at the show, which is scheduled for Aug. 28, 29 and 30.
The 2012 Farm Progress Show will present the latest agricultural technology across even more show exhibit area with the latest expansion at its Boone, Iowa, show site. One additional street will be filled with exhibitors and ready for show visitors to review at the show set for Aug. 28, 29 and 30.
Growing with demand
"When the Farm Progress Show site was built in Boone, it was designed to accommodate the largest show exhibit area that had been used at recent shows" says Matt Jungmann, Farm Progress national events manager. "As assignments for space were completed this spring, it became clear that extra space was needed to accommodate all the requests by exhibitors and the investment would need to be made to accommodate those requests."
The Farm Progress Show exhibit area has grown from the 12 streets available at the last show held on the Boone site in 2010 to 13 for the upcoming August event. This increase brings this permanent show site to 3.68 million square feet of exhibit area, or nearly 85 acres. Additionally, the show occupies 300 acres for field demonstrations and test drive areas, plus an additional 180 acres for visitor parking.
