2010 Buick Club of America National Meet Rolls in to Ames July 27th - 31st

Whether you are a car enthusiast or just looking for a fun way to spend the day, come experience the 2010 Buick Club of America National Meet, July 27-31, 2010 at the Iowa State Center parking lots in Ames, IA. This unique event will feature a display of more than 400 Buicks that have been lovingly preserved or restored. There will also be a variety of other activities throughout the multiple-day event, including a swap meet, exhibits, professional judging, food vendors and more. Meet auto enthusiasts from around the world who will be coming to Ames to participate in this national event and experience our community and central Iowa.

The public is invited to attend the 2010 Buick Club of America National Meet and enjoy this national event during its inaugural visit to Ames and Iowa. There is no cost to the general public to come view the cars on display, visit with the owners and enjoy a variety of events during the 2010 National Meet.

On Saturday, July 31st there will also be an All Iowa Open Car Show from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Iowa State Center parking lots. The show is open to all makes of vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, tractors and more. There is a $10 entry fee per show vehicle and the proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Iowa. Ten “Best of Celebrity Choice” plaques will be awarded during the show.

”We are really excited to be hosting the 2010 event in Ames,” said Rick Young, 2009-2010 Buick Club of America President and Jewell, Iowa resident. “This is an event you will not want to miss, whether you join us as a participant during the Open Car Show or come as a spectator during one or all four days. Come show off your favorite vehicle, make some new friends and have a great time.”

The Buick Club of America has been hosting their annual National Meet in a variety of cities across the country since 1971, but this is the first time they have been to Iowa. The Buick Club of America is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of automobiles built by the Buick Motor Division of General Motors Corporation.
