| Entry Deadline Announced for Men's District #9 Slowpitch Softball Tournament |

Keith Abraham, District #9 Commissioner for the Iowa ASA, has announced the entry deadline for the 2010 Class D & Class E Men's 12" Slowpitch Softball District Tournaments. PAID ENTRIES ARE DUE NO LATER THAN NOON, MONDAY, JUNE 28, 2010. District #9 includes the counties of Story, Boone, Dallas, Greene, Guthrie, Marshall, and Jasper.
The tournament format is a three game guarantee and will be held at the River Valley Park Softball Complex in Ames on July 10 & 11. The City of Ames Parks and Recreation Department conducts this tournament. Teams that qualify have the opportunity to advance to the Class D or E State Tournaments. The top seven teams from each district’s Class D and E tournaments will advance to State tournaments. Teams wanting to enter at the B or C level of play can do so by contacting the Iowa ASA Office directly, (641) 236-5766, for a direct berth into the State Tournament.
Entry fee is $155 and can be paid at the Parks and Recreation Office, 1500 Gateway Hills Park Drive, or the Community Center, 5th and Clark. Non-Ames league teams must present proof of being a 2010 ASA registered team or include $26 when submitting the entry fee.
