The hunt is on for great prizes in the Main Street Cultural District!
The Main Street Cultural District (MSCD) is excited to announce a new event this spring -- an Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt! From Thursday, March 18 to Saturday, April 3, the community is invited to search for hidden Easter eggs inside 29 participating Main Street businesses. When you find at least 10 eggs you can be entered into a drawing for over 29 prizes! And children helping their families hunt for eggs will be rewarded with sweet treats along the way.
Competitors may pick up a game card at any of the participating businesses or the MSCD office located at 312 Main St, Ste 201. Your game card is complete once you find at least 10 Easter eggs and turn in your card at one of the designated locations. The winner will receive a prize package including a variety of gift cards, chocolates and stuffed animals. Winners will be contacted Monday, April 5th.
“This is another great new event to showcase all Main Street has to offer while getting downtown to enjoy some warmer weather,” said Sonya Stoltze-Newstrom, MSCD Board President. “We’re looking forward to seeing young and old participate!”
Easter eggs, game cards, and entry drop-offs can be found at any of the following participating businesses: American Country, Ames Sewing & Vacuum, Ames Yoga Center, Brown’s Shoe Fit Company, Café Diem, Chocolaterie Stam, Emerhoff’s Footwear, Everts Flowers, Home & Gifts, Gilger Designs, Great Stuff Ltd., Heroic Ink, Hy-Vee Drugstore, Images by Ngaire, Jet Print, Lazy M Shoes, Miss Meyer’s Consignment, Nature’s Touch, Octagon Center for the Arts, PhotoSynthesis, Quilting Connection, Stoltze & Stoltze Family Dentistry, Skunk River Cycles, Teal & Tenacious, Temptations on Main, US Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, Wild Birds Unlimited and Worldly Goods.
