Our Mission

The mission of the Ames Convention & Visitors Bureau is to acquire meeting, convention and event business. The Bureau will seek to acquire groups that will have citywide impact and the potential to return to Ames on a regular basis and that will strengthen occupancy in historically soft business periods.

How does the Bureau accomplish these goals?

The Bureau actively develops business from a variety of sources, including group tours, leisure travel and convention and meeting markets. This facilitates the arrival of tens of thousands of people and millions of dollars to the community.
